Week 18

Last week my Dad asked why wear horizontal lines? Then I started to notice that lots of maternity clothes come in horizontal lines, as if adjusting to a normal 25 lb weight gain in short period of time is not enough that they have to add the appearance of 10 more lbs.

So this week, there are NO lines just a belly, half inch bigger from last week with a baby the size of sweet potato. Baby D is now yawning, hiccuping, twisting and rolling around in there!

Speaking of sweet potatoes, which are my new favorite for lunch. I got a simple and yummy recipe idea off the web, just wash, dry, coat with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt or I've been using grey salt and then bake for an hour at 350.. Delicious!

Maizey!

After a work event in D-town, I stopped in to have lunch with Maizey and her Mom Maggie! Maizey is absolutely adorable and knows how to work a crowd! Thank you so much for lunch, books & maternity clothes!

Week 17

Today is Week 17, no changes in belly circumference since last week maybe I should be measuring my "shoulders" too. The baby is now the size of a large onion and is starting to put some "meat on" his or her's little bones.

Objects Appear Larger

Today is Week 16 and our baby is the size of an Avocado.
My belly changes throughout the day in the morning is pudgy flat and as the day goes on it gets bigger; sometimes it looks huge and sometimes its small.. very strange.
If my face looks a little red today, well it is.. the doctor thinks I might have "slap face" .. seriously it is called slap face and its like a cold and will go away but since I'm pregnant I will need to do some more blood work to make sure that this isn't going to be an issue.

Rock Star

I spent the some time with my friend Charlie in Chicago. He is really into hockey but also likes to play his fago guitar, give thumbs up to the other kids on the playground and make loud noises. Needless to say, we had a blast. Thanks, Charlie.
