Week 36

With the pool closing labor day weekend, I decided to swim and sunbath one more time. My tankini no longer completely covers my growing baby bump, as you can see from my tan lines.
Baby Girl D's liver and kidneys are in working order now, as well as her circulation and immune systems.
The baby is growing and filling in more of my tummy, pushing my intestines higher and causing labored breathing.. I've been on the phone a lot, as over the next few weeks I will be training seven different people on various projects. These poor people must listen to me catch my breath and breath heavy on the phone.. which was always a pet peeve for me prior to being pregnant. :)

Week 35

Week 35 and less then 35 days to go.

Nursery is almost complete, breast pump arrived, Hospital tour schedule for tonight and Pediatrician interviews next week.
My new mantra is.. “please don’t come out early, Mommy is not ready.. please stay in, get comfy .. there is no rush!”
Nervous, I checked the CDC's stats on when women give birth by percentage at the following gestational age:
30% - Week 37- 38
30% - Week 39
30% - Week 40-41
Odds are in our favor that we are safe for the next 2 weeks.
The Doctor has our official due date at Sept 28. My motherly instinct says mark your calendars for 10/01, while my parent’s suspect my birthday, 10/03 or 5th and David’s family wonders if the baby will lean closer to his birth date on Sept 20.
Take your bets now.
I do feel bigger and breathing is more difficult, which makes sense as the baby is the size of a coconut or honeydew melon and will be putting on more weight each week.  Her heartbeat was strong at the Doctor’s today at 153 and her head was down!

Help! Help!

I've been nervous about finding Miss Myia sleeping in the baby's crib, however she is more interested in the drawer underneath. This past weekend, while I was working on the nursery she got in through the back and then couldn't get out. No, get of Jail Free cards for her!

July Baby Shots

During July, Baby D has grown roughly 2 inches in height and gained almost 2 pounds. By week 32 she is roughly 19 inches and 4 pounds. With Baby D positioned relatively low, despite all the room in my long torso.. I started to notice that if I stand up after sitting for long period of time, then I get a sharp pain in pubic bone.. Extended Car rides and long work hours sitting at my desk can cause some discomfort. A brief visit to the hospital where we got a free tour, hooked up to the baby monitors and some h20.. they confirmed that the pain is normal. Whew! So now I continue with Yoga and frequent walking breaks.

She continues to be very active little girl. Her kicks are more powerful and we can feel more of her body at certain times, which makes for a fun game of Guess that body part..

We are getting more and more excited to meet her.. now just weeks away.
