Baptism

In tradition my Godmother Victoria picked out my baptism gown and dressed me for the big day starting with a nice warm bath and brushing my hair.
Sweetheart Neckline

On the way to the church I squeezed in some beauty rest so that I was wide eyed when Deacon Jim blessed me with water and rose oil but who is kidding.. I'm always wide eyed when there is so much going!
Godmother Victoria with the help of Daddy (I think he was just helping to ensure that they didn't put bows in my hair or high heels on my feet.. you know he only likes me in camo) dressed me in the most beautiful white sweetheart gown gifted by my Godmother. It was so delicate and sweet. Plus it came with a bonnet
It even had a petticoat layer.
Godmother Vicki was so delicate with me because I really hate sleeves.. she took her time and made me smile.
Godmother Victoria is so intriguing.. her voice is similar to Mommy's but her laugh is bolder and she says funny things like Heeeeeyyyyyy!
They told me to prepare for water and rose oil.. hmmmm bath time?

Of course the paparazzi was there .. getting baptized is a big deal.

See I told you there was a bonnet..

Introducing My Godparents .. Victoria (Mommy's sister) and Scott ( Daddy's brother).

Didn't you get the memo to wear red today?
Aunt Vicki has been helping me to blow bubbles..
Cousin Andrew drove up to meet me.. Yup he has his permit and drives pretty good...
Dilworth Boys.. Scott, Mark and Daddy.
Cousin Elizabeth played and read me books.
I can never get enough of these two ladies....Nana and Grandma Pat they are so sweet to me.
If you know my Momma and Nana they you shouldn't be surprised to hear that I have a second changing on this special day into my "after the baptism" outfit from Janie + Jack.. its a winter white velvet one piece with red roses..
After the baptism we headed back to my house for Christmas Ham + Mac n Cheese + Green Beans lunch cooked by Daddy.. he did a great job!!!
Nana made me her famous sugar cookies in the shape of crosses and angels.
My baptism cake was red velvet cake filled chocolate mousse and finished
with whipped cream cheese buttercream.

Getting Ready for Holidays

These days I'm just kicking back in the bouncer drafting my letter to Santa. I'm only 2 months old so I'm pretty sure that I am on the "good" list!
On December 3 I had my two month doctor's appointment and the official kick off to vaccinations. Before the shots, I was all smiles .. and after the shots well let's just say we will spare you...
I weigh 12 lb and 6.5 ounces which is 75% and am 23.25 inches which is 90%.. not so surprising given that my Mommy + Daddy are pretty tall too.
I know its tough to see me in the above photo because I'm wearing camouflage .. just catching some sleep in preparation to play with Daddy.
With Daddy traveling this month for training, we spent some time in Novi visiting with my Dilworth side of the family. I loved cuddling with Cousin Ashley, she is so sweet.
I've been exploring my hands but my thumb is always tucked in between my index and middle finger but not on this day.. I found it and didn't want to stop.
Nana loves giving me baths and I love the water. Its funny to watch her set up for the big event.
She always says that she is going to get me and she does every time with lots of kisses..
Bath time can also be very serious time as it gives me a chance to really investigate Nana's eyes, especially now as my eye sight is improving and I can focus on big and small objects.
My hair has been falling out in the very front and in the back from tossing my head.. I hear this is normal. It leads to much debate.. on whether the new hair is coming in light like Mommy's or dark like Daddy's.. but you never know because Daddy's hair was light until he was seven..
After I spent another week napping on Mommy she went on a baby carrier buying spree.. I guess she doesn't want to watch movies all day.. so far we really like the baby k'tan!
I like to watch Mommy run around the house frenetically clean and prepare for our holiday guest. I use to just look at my dangling rings but now I reach out to them and put them in my mouth!
Mommy took one last holiday photo shoot because why not... I guess that I'm too cute!
I'm so excited and am counting down till everyone arrives...
